The utilization of long-term contraceptive methods (LTCM) in Indonesia remains lower than that of short-term contraceptive methods. Limited knowledge, low interest, and high levels of anxiety among family planning acceptors are among the factors influencing the selection of contraceptive methods. This study aimed to examine the educational efforts using media to improve knowledge and interest while reducing anxiety among family planning acceptors regarding the use of LARC at TPMB Dhonal Handayani in 2026. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 20 family planning acceptors were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using knowledge and interest questionnaires and the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HRS-A) before and after educational intervention utilizing leaflets and the Family Planning Decision-Making Aid (ABPK). Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-test and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of 0,05. The findings showed that media-based education significantly improved participants' knowledge and interest while reducing anxiety regarding LARC utilization (p < 0,05). Therefore, media-based education can serve as an effective educational effort to enhance knowledge, increase interest, and reduce anxiety, thereby supporting greater acceptance and utilization of LARC in primary health care services.References
