Optimasi Manajemen Logistik Dalam Meningkatkan Efektivitas Pengelolaan Logistik Medis Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau

Abstract

Logistics systems play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of medical equipment and supplies in terms of type, quantity, quality, and timing to support healthcare services in hospitals. At Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital in Riau Province, several issues in medical logistics management were identified, including suboptimal use of the Hospital Information System (SIMRS), limited warehouse capacity, a high number of damaged medical devices, presence of expired items, and the accumulation of goods in the warehouse. This study employed a qualitative method using a content analysis approach. The research informants consisted of three main informants and one supporting informant. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews, while data analysis was carried out through transcription, coding, matrix formation, and content analysis. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the receipt, storage, maintenance, distribution, and control of medical logistics generally adheres to standard operating procedures. However, medical logistics management has not yet been optimized because some processes are still carried out manually, the use of the SIMRS has not been maximized, warehouse capacity is limited, 1,298 damaged medical devices were found, expired items still exist, and there is a buildup of goods in the storage area. It is concluded that optimizing the use of the SIMRS, reorganizing and expanding warehouse capacity, consistently applying the FIFO and FEFO methods, and enhancing periodic monitoring and evaluation are necessary to improve the effectiveness of medical logistics management at the Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital in Riau Province.
