Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are long-term (chronic) diseases influenced by lifestyle. One of the most common non-communicable diseases in Indonesia is hypertension. Based on the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, 62.8% of patients with hypertension were reported to be non-adherent to medication because they felt healthy. Medication adherence greatly affects the success of therapy. One of the internal factors assumed to influence patients' adherence to treatment is self-efficacy. This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and adherence to antihypertensive medication among patients with hypertension at Wolaang Public Health Center, Minahasa Regency. This study employed a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 277 hypertensive patients taking antihypertensive medication who were registered in the Chronic Disease Referral Program (PRB) at the Wolaang Public Health Center. A total of 72 respondents were selected using the consecutive sampling technique. The results showed that 27 respondents (40.3%) with capable self-efficacy had high medication adherence, while 3 respondents (60.0%) with incapable self-efficacy had high medication adherence. The Fisher's Exact Test yielded a p-value of 0.838 (p > 0.05), indicating that there was no significant relationship between self-efficacy and adherence to antihypertensive medication. It was concluded that there was no relationship between self-efficacy and adherence to antihypertensive medication among patients with hypertension at the Wolaang Public Health Center, Minahasa RegencyReferences
