The availability of parking facilities is an important component in supporting the continuity of hospital services, particularly with increasing patient visits and vehicle volume. Awal Bros Panam Hospital Pekanbaru faces limited parking space and vehicle congestion during certain periods. This study aimed to evaluate parking service needs through an assessment of the existing parking area, identification of parking characteristics, evaluation of parking space requirements, and formulation of parking service development recommendations. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document review involving informants directly related to the management and use of hospital parking facilities. The findings showed that the existing parking service had not fully accommodated user needs. The hospital had made efforts to increase parking space through leased areas and optimization of available land; however, the increasing number of vehicles during certain periods continued to cause congestion and limited parking space. The evaluation indicated the need to optimize land utilization, improve vehicle circulation, regulate the drop-off area, and gradually increase parking capacity. Therefore, optimization and development of the parking layout are needed to improve land-use effectiveness, facilitate vehicle circulation, and support user comfort.References
