Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) rupture is a knee ligament injury that requires imaging examination to evaluate the condition of the ligament. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can provide images of soft tissue and the ACL in various imaging planes. This study aimed to determine the MRI genu examination procedure in cases of ACL rupture and the role of Proton density Fse Coronal Oblique Fatsat Acl and Proton density Fse Axial Oblique Fatsat Acl sequences at the Radiology Department of X General Hospital Denpasar. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach involving three patients. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that MRI genu examination included patient preparation, MRI safety screening, positioning, knee coil placement, planning, and image acquisition. The examination protocol used routine sequences and two ACL-specific sequences planned according to the anatomical direction of the ACL. Both sequences helped clarify ACL visualization, including fiber discontinuity, edema, signal changes, orientation, and attachment areas, thereby supporting the evaluation of ACL rupture.References
